ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TASK ORDER CONTRACT

Carlson Environmental provided the Site Remediation Section of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago with environmental consulting services on an “as needed” basis, executing more than 20 task orders over the term of the contract.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments were completed in Alsip, Blue Island, Chicago, Forest View, Lemont, Lockport, Skokie, and Summit for pre-acquisition due diligence or to establish pre-lease baselines.

Phase II subsurface investigations were completed to establish pre-lease site conditions in Lemont, and Skokie and as part of pre-acquisition due diligence efforts relating to properties in Chicago and Skokie.  Carlson also completed pre-disposal sampling and analysis to characterize reservoir sediment in Des Plaines and Arlington Heights and to characterize surplus soil from excavations in Stickney.

Carlson personnel provided removal oversight of an underground storage tank in Skokie and technical support relating to the management of asbestos containing building materials in Stickney and Chicago.

Our staff also was responsible for technical scope development and cost estimation for characterization, remediation, and Site Remediation Program enrollment of parcels in Summit and for remedial action cost estimating for properties in Chicago, Lemont, and Skokie.
